P6/7D had a fantastic morning down at ‘The Cover’ last week. They identified trees, fungi, shrubs, berries and animal homes. They also looked out for signs of ash dieback and places where there was dense sycamore sapling growth. Pupils then worked in trios to complete a report of their findings. Great team work all round!
We will join Ross from the Woodland Trust on the morning of Wednesday 14th November for our conserve activity. We will be thinning the sycamore saplings and creating new animal habitats. If you are able to help on Wednesday please get in touch with Miss MacDonald next week.
